Cristiano Ronaldo has become a free agent recently after he terminated his contract with a mutual agreement with Manchester United. CR7 had a controversial interview with Piers Morgan where he said: “he felt betrayed by the club and manager Erik ten Hag”. Manchester United officials were furious, and eventually, they had their official mutual contract termination.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Offer

Although Ronaldo is currently fully focused on the 2022 Qatar World Cup, as a free agent he’s getting offers from multiple clubs. Most notably, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr offered him a record-breaking colossal \$207 million plus per year, by far the biggest amount in club football history, while the contract might have been for two and a half years. There isn’t a single team that comes close to this offer and wages proposed by Saudi Arabian club.

Ronaldo’s Perspective

But, from CR7’s perspective, it could be much easier for him to stay in Europe, Chelsea F.C. may have some positive vibe about Ronaldo. Cristiano Ronaldo is the all-time highest goal scorer in UEFA Champions League. According to Piers Morgan’s interview with Telegraph, where Piers Morgan said:

“Cristiano Ronaldo will be aiming for Champions League club”.

He also added …

“He thinks that if he does well at this World Cup, he’ll get what he really wants, which is a club in the Champions League that extends his record and his legacy. It’s not about money at this stage of his career. It comes down to a burning desire to play football at the highest level, to break records and win trophies. And he has done that in more countries than any other player in history.”

Saudi Arabia will host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, so if they can get Cristiano Ronaldo into their country, it’ll be a massive media boost to draw international attention. But, it’s apparent Ronaldo is thinking more clearly about his options and will not proceed until the end of the FIFA world cup.
