Tunisia has beaten France, with the only goal scored by Wahbi Khazri. They successfully defended the current World Champion in a dramatic match.
In the match, extra 8 minutes were given in addition to this 90 minutes match, and at the very end of the game, at 97 minutes Antoine Griezmann fired a last-minute goal. Tunisian players and supporters were in total dismay, what could have been their greatest victory turned out to be a draw. Yet, the offside drama plays again, at the very last minute, the match referee went for VAR checking and declared Griezmann’s goal as offside.
Tunisia has defeated France, drawn with Denmark, and just conceded one goal in the 2022 Fifa World Cup. But, for Group D’s competitive scenarios they are going home without reaching the second round.
It’s their only-ever 3rd win in World Cup.
